This amazing experience joins our ”Akaroa Day Tour” from Christchurch. On arrival in Akaroa village, please enjoy exploring the many fine Arts & Craft shops and see old French Colonial buildings. After lunch at Award winning Bully Hayes waterfront restaurant (option), you will board ”Canterbury Cat Two” for a cruise in Akaroa Harbour, created after a huge eruption of a Volcano 14 million years ago. Prior to sailing you will be equipped with wet suit, mask, snorkel and boots and briefed fully with safety procedures. During your cruise while looking for dolphins, you may see other wildlife including White-flippered penguins, Fur seals and many seabirds. On locating a pod of Hector´s dolphins, you will enter the water to swim with these rare, playful and endangered mammals.
